Flotilla members hail primarily from La Crosse, Wisconsin as well as other cities in Western Wisconsin and Southeastern Minnesota.
 

Flotilla 25 actively promotes safe boating by providing public education courses, free vessel safety checks and safety patrols for Upper Mississippi River communities from Winona, Minnesota to the North down to Prairie du Chein, Wisconsin and Marquette, Iowa to the South .

The flotilla also supports the active duty Coast Guard by:

• Providing boats and qualified personnel for maintaining river traffic safety during the many Mississippi River marine events such as water ski shows and competitions, fire works shows, lighted boat parades, et cetera.
